  • May 1994President Chen Jianhua invested in the bank loan of RMB 3.69 million yuan in purchasing the former Wujiang Chemical Fibre Weaving Factory run by Shengze Town, became the first private enterprise owner in Wujiang city and started to establish a business.
  • June 1994Wujiang Chemical Fibre Weaving Factory washed out shuttle loom, imported 1,200 ingot net looms and primarily engaged in the sales and external processing of raw materials.
  • Oct.1997To thoroughly change the laggard situation and adapt to the trend of textile market development, Wujiang Chemical Fibre Weaving Factory purchased the first lot of 88 water-jet looms, imported 1 set of warping-sizing combinative machine from Korea and newly established No.3 branch Factory and Hongjian Branch Factory. It added 218 water-jet looms in 1998, 643 looms in 1999, 860 looms in 2000 and 507 looms in 2001, making the total number of water-jet looms reach 2,316.
  • Jan.2002In the southeast area of Hongjian Branch Factory, invested RMB 220 million yuan in buying 324 air-jet looms, 360 water-jet looms and 12 texturizing machines from Japan.
  • Nov.2002Jiangsu Hengli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd., financed by Wujiang Chemical Fibre Weaving Factory, was formally established with the occupied area of 80 hectares. It imported two sets of 200,000-ton polyester production plants from German Zimmer AG, the 1152-position FDY and POY with the production capacity of 350,000t terylene products from Japanese TMT Corp. and German Barmag AG, as well as 120 DTY high-speed texturizing machines from Japan and German. The gross investment reaches RMB 2.2 billion yuan. It lays a solid foundation for the future development way of large-scale group operation.
  • Nov.2003President Chen Jianhua established (China) Hengli Group, which is composed of Jiangsu Hengli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd., Wujiang Chemical Fibre Weaving Factory, Wujiang Huayi Real Estate Co., Ltd., Wujiang Huayi Investment Co., Ltd., Suzhou Yixiang Textile Co., Ltd., Wujiang Chunchen Weaving Co., Ltd., Wujiang Huajun Textile Co., Ltd., Wujiang Huayi Trading Co., Ltd., Wujiang Yunhao Weaving Co., Ltd., Wujiang Tongli Lake Holiday Resort and Suzhou Susheng Thermal Power Co., Ltd..
  • Dec.2003Successively tendered for the acquisition of Wujiang Tongli Lake Holiday Resort, invested and bought shares in Suzhou Susheng Thermal Power Co., Ltd..
  • Feb.28, 2004Through 14 months’ arduous work, overcame the negative influence of “SARS”. Hengli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd.’s 400,000t direct melt spinning line-A project was smoothly put into production.
  • May 18, 2004Hengli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd.’s 400,000t direct melt spinning line-B project was smoothly put into production.
  • May 2004The turnover of Tongli Lake Holiday Resort was completed smoothly.
  • Jan.2005Hengli Import & Export Co., Ltd. was established.
  • Dec.10, 2005Jiangsu Hengli Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd.’s phase II project commenced. The gross investment is RMB 1.8 billion yuan. The construction period is 1 year. After it is completed, the production capacity will be doubled, the output value will be quadrupled.
